Alive

This is that moment when you can feel you, alive. You stand there with your arms out and feel everything in your body.

The thumps and the beats and the pain.

The air and the clothes moving against your skin.

Every itch.

Every square inch of you.

From the toes touching the edge of your tennis shoes.

To the elastic pulling around your waist.

Inhale, exhale.
You are ALIVE.
It's amazing to think that even while you're sleeping, detailed systems inside you are still pumping, beating, flowing and growing. And even if they're not working perfectly, they're still working. It is so beautiful.

It's wonderful to know that you create parts of yourself. You get to influence the things that makes you you.

And I think it's most wonderful to feel like you're doing a pretty good job.

"Dear old world...
You are very lovely,
and I am glad to be alive in you."
-Anne of Green Gables
